The individual's initial symptoms included impaired grip strength, along accompanied by frequency and urgency of urination. A lumbar puncture revealed elevated protein levels suggesting amyloid deposits. Brain imaging demonstrated characteristic lesions in the spinal cord consistent with primary amyloid myelopathy.

The management focused on supportive care, including physical therapy and medications to manage symptoms. Despite treatment, the patient's condition continued to worsen.
